According to reports in the Visalia Times-Delta, a female passenger in one of the cars suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. The driver of that vehicle, who was pregnant, was taken by ambulance to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia, along with a third female passenger who suffered moderate injuries.

Hopefully everyone involved in this crash will make a full and speedy recovery. Head-on collisions have a higher percentage of injuries and fatality than any other type of crash. These lane departure accidents may happen for a number of reasons, including driver distraction, falling asleep at the wheel, swerving to avoid debris, or unsafe passing. Accidents may also be the result of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The victims injured in this collision would be well-advised to consult with a Fresno car accident lawyer for a consultation of their legal rights. They may be entitled to compensation from the party responsible for causing this head-on crash.
