CONCORD - A man was injured Wednesday morning after his Toyota pickup truck struck a tree in Concord, the Concord Patch reported. The solo-vehicle car accident occurred on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 near the intersection of Clayton Road and Alberta Way, at about 1:45 p.m. Witnesses reported seeing the truck travelling eastbound before it spun out of control on the wet roadway and struck a tree. Five Concord police cars, a Concord fire truck, and an ambulance responded to the Contra Costa County car accident. The incident remains under investigation; based on the news reports, it is unclear why the man lost control of his vehicle.
