AMADOR COUNTY - A bicyclist was taken to Sutter Amador Hospital after being struck by a vehicle on Irish Town Road, the Ledger-Dispatch reported. The accident was reported shortly after 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011, near Highway 88. According to news reports, a 67-year-old Pioneer woman was driving a 2009 Chevy on Irish Town Road when she attempted a "slow" u-turn and pulled into the path of a bicyclist from Stockton. The cyclist was transported the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
