Injuries Reported in 10 Freeway Crash In Fontana

FONTANA - A collision involving five to seven vehicles Sunday afternoon in Fontana left five people hurt, the Redlands Daily Facts reported. The accident occurred at 2:43 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway at Cherry Avenue. Three ambulances responded to the scene of the crash. Further information was not available about the cause of the April 8th Fontana car accident or who was responsible.

One Killed, One Injured in Desert Center Rollover Crash on Interstate 10

RIVERSIDE COUNTY - The Desert Sun reported that one person was killed and another seriously injured after a rollover car crash on Interstate 10 in Desert Center. The tragic accident was reported at about 2:30 a.m. Monday on east Interstate 10, just near Desert Center Rive Road. According to the Southwest Riverside News Network, firefighters had to extricate the individuals out of the vehicle. One of the occupants was reported to have died at the scene and the other was airlifted to a hospital with major injures.

Six Injured in Coachella Car Accident

RIVERSIDE COUNTY - According to multiple news reports, a two-car collision in the Coachella area sent six people to a hospital. The catastrophic accident happened at about 3:35 p.m. Saturday on eastbound Interstate 10 near Dillon Road. The impact of the collision caused one of the vehicles to rollover into a ditch.

Following this March 17th incident, three people, including a child, were airlifted to a hospital with major injuries. Two other people suffered minor injuries and were also taken to a hospital via ground ambulance.

Injuries Reported in Interstate 10 Crash Involving Big Rig

THOUSAND PALMS - One person was injured in a crash Thursday afternoon in Thousand Palms, KPSP News reported. The accident, which involved a big rig, a small car, and a pickup truck, was reported on eastbound Interstate 10 at Monterey Avenue, just after 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011. According to news reports, the three vehicle Riverside County crash was triggered by a tire blowout in one of the vehicles. One person - who was not injured - had to be cut out of a vehicle by firefighters. Another person suffered "moderate injuries" and was taken to a local hospital.

Cause of the Crash

The CHP reported that one of the vehicles involved in the crash had a tire blowout. Tire blowouts are serious situations, and it is very fortunate that no one was killed in this crash.
